CORE LUDOGRAPHY PUBLICATIONS ABOUT ME
Ghost Girls is a serious historical-fiction visual
novel developed as a university project for the SSK (Strahlenschutzkommission)
that explores the devastating consequences faced by women in the 1920s who
painted glowing radium watch dials.
Its narrative blends original characters with
real-life events to guide players toward an informed encounter with documented
histories, referencing real individuals with care and respect for their
memories. By combining interactive storytelling with historical material, the
project investigates how serious games can foster critical reflection,
affective engagement, and public historical understanding while maintaining
ethical attention to the people whose lives are portrayed.
On 9 October 2024, I presented the project at the SSK
event “Zukunftsthema Strahlenforschung”
in Berlin.
